Corina Murafa
Corina Murafa is an energy policy expert with several years of work experience in large multinational companies, international organizations and think tanks. Since July 2014, she works as an Energy Expert for the World Bank, deployed full time in the Delivery Unit of the Romanian Prime Minister. In the past three years, she worked as a Regulatory and Public Affairs Expert for OMV Petrom, the largest integrated oil and gas company in South – Eastern Europe, having had previous stints with Deloitte and UNDP. In the past, Corina coordinated research projects on service delivery and the public policy cycle for the Romanian Academic Society. Corina holds a Master in Public Policy (MPP) since 2011 from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, generously supported by merit scholarships from DAAD, the Hertie Foundation, Studienkolleg zu Berlin and the Dinu Patriciu Foundation. In the past, she studied at Bucharest University (Political Science) and New York University (as an Open Society Institute undergraduate fellow). She is experienced in managing stakeholder engagement and policy dialogue processes and holds an excellent knowledge of the Romanian and European energy sectors, through both analytical (including academic) and practical experience. Since fall 2014 she is a PhD candidate with the Romanian Academy for Economic Studies. Her recent civic engagement activities comprise being an Associate Fellow to the Aspen Institute Romania, President elect of the alumni network (2013 - 2014) and also co-founder of the Hertie Energy and Environment Network.
